11 Random things about yours truly:

1. Lightning has hit too close to me before, 3 times to be exact, and I am now scared of it.

2. I love water. It is my drink of choice 99% of the time.

3. I have been disliking meat little by little. When I eat it, sometimes the smell turns me off, or the looks of it.

4. Sometimes I feel like I don't want to have kids. Seriously. But, then there are other times that I do.

5. In my twenties I've had such a desire to learn about other cultures. Other languages. I am working on korean right now, and it's difficult! But, I have learned a few phrases. Let's see how this 1 year course goes.

6. I enjoy being naked. Not in public, but around our apartment.

7. A goal of mine is to someday retire, and move to another country for a few years.

8. My boyfriend, and I will hit the 8 year mark on Feb 15th.

9. I have yet to dance outside in the rain. I must do it soon! (Not during a thunderstorm/lightning obviously)

10. I get bored easily.

11. I am not a fan of candy.

6. Where do you like to dine at? I love Ruby Tuesdays, and Bucca Di Beppo (Italian).

7. What's the best thing about the city you reside in? Most of my family lives here.

8. What is a major blogger turn off? People that just come to your blog only to promote theirs. If you don't read my blog, what makes you think I'd read yours?

A Superstitious Midwife

I tend to deny the fact that I am superstitious. But I am. And that's the honest truth. For example; whenever people ask me "Hey, how's the new job? Do you like it?" I act all cool about it, and say "Yeah, it's cool." In reality I feel like saying; It's great! It's a change that I am glad I made! I enjoy my office mate oh so much, she's the best! Now, that wasn't that hard. I guess I feel like if I said those words, that I would jinx it. No more of that. Okay, I'll try. If I am happy, I will say it, damn it!

Being there I have realized a few things. I mentioned it on Twitter today, how there's a nurse that tends to treat older hispanic patients terribly! I understand people have bad days, but it's happened a couple of times now, and I have only been there for 1 month. When it happened I was so hurt for that old man. I honestly see my parents whenever I see older people. So, I treat them as I would want my parents to be treated, with respect. There's still a lot of racism out there, and it's sad. But, I remind myself that not everyone is like that :)

That brings me to my next point. I have decided to change my major---officially! I have mentioned before that I wasn't sure if Psychology was what I wanted to pursue. I mean, I know that I want to help people, but how? I considered education, but wasn't too excited about it. Lord knows how much I have prayed about this. The other night after tossing and turning and finally being able to fall asleep, I saw the words "Midwife", and I woke up with a huge smile, and a racing heart. I knew that's what I wanted to be, and it's funny, how it was always in front of my face. I love pregnancy, and helping women, educating them on the subject, and always said that if I did pursue nursing, I'd want to work for a OBGYN. So there ya go. I can't wait until the Fall!

This song always makes me want to dance when I hear it! It's not new and honestly, it will never get old for me. The beat is crazy and I enjoy the video not just because it was filmed in the Dominican Republic ;) I just like the colors and all of the women in it are beautiful as well.

Today went by super quick! I don't know if it was just me. I went and got another massage in the hospital in honor of Nurse's Week (for free!) and it was better this time around. 30 Day Song Challenge: Day 2/Your Least Favorite Song

I dislike many songs. But, this was the first one that came to mind. I never liked it although I learned all of the lyrics because the stations out here would play it, over and over and over and over again. It was impossible to avoid!

As for my plans for the Month of May? One thing and 1 thing only. To go to a Tattoo shop where my boyfriend's friend (Click on "Friend" to see one of his friend's tats from the parlor's myspace) gets his (which are always on point!) and get the one on my wrist covered. I still love it and the meaning behind it but, I am not satisfied with the way that it was done, and I am tired of having to "hide" it because of this. So, that's the plan. I have already decided what to get, and it's kind of something that I drew myself. I will keep you guys posted! The one on my wrist and ankle hurt more than the one on my lower left abdomen, so, I am not looking forward to that part lol. But, I can't wait to get it over with. Until tomorrow. Si Dios quiere, of course.

Meme: Seven Confessions

I suck at keeping up with those daily memes, so, a quick one is always preferred. Tag! If you wanna do it : )

1. I cannot sleep with the tag of my sheets facing me, they have to be towards my feet. I think that if I sleep with them towards me, Ill have nightmares.

2. I love ice. Chewing it. I know how to get it the right way lol which is not too hard and not too soggy. It gets really bad when my anemia is at it's worse, since craving for non nutritional things is a major sign of that. Don't worry, I started my vitamins again.

3. Between him and I, I am the messiest lol. It's really a shame but whatever, things around me can be neat only for so long. But, I do take care of my belongings. My books look brand new even after I have read them, and I keep things in tact. You can feel comfortable lending me things, trust me.

4. I love to sniff my dog. His paws smell funky lol but I adore it. Haha. Don't judge me.

5. I was just talking about this the other night but, I have seen certain movies over 20 times. Like, Home Alone 2, Meet the Parents, Wedding Crashers just to name a few.

6. I love having a pet. I enjoy taking care of something, whether its a hamster, a guinea pig, or a dog. I was never really a fish lover. My family had them while I was growing up, I'd stare at them and it was relaxing, but if I can't pet them, walk them, cuddle them, I don't see a point.

7. I recently discovered that I am a bit of a control freak. I like to plan things out, and I love to have control over my life, future and whatever is going on. I don't go bonkers when things don't go as planned, but I do like doing things a certain way. I don't know if that makes ANY sense.

Day 07. A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you:

There are many people and things that have had an impact on me. So, I picked the most neutral one! And that is my baby, la cosita de mama, my dog, Rocky. I got him the day after a blizzard hit Pennsylvania in February 2007. I didn't care that there was so much snow on the ground. I asked my brother (who was visiting from New York with his wife) to take me. It was an hour and 45 minutes just one way! But he was all worth it! He was the "runt" in the litter, and only he and his brother Oscar were left. Rocky who was Rocket back then, was in the little crate hiding, while Oscar was running around. His breeder said, you can have your pick! But, I knew who I was there for and was not going to change my mind. I slipped him into my coat, with his head popping out. He got me through depression (he'd lick my tears and cuddle with me) and gave me a reason to keep going. He's like a piece of my heart running around on 4 legs! Everyone that calls me (family) always asks for him lol he's part of the family. They get mad when I go visit and leave him at home haha. You'll see a lot more of him!

The Cat known as Cat Woman. I mean, she doesn't really have powers. But I love her. I fell for her when I first saw the movie as a young girl. I think she was the best one for the role (Michelle Pheiffer) and she's just so sexy. Not a deep *finger snapping* reason why, but hey, lol.

Day 05. A Picture of Somewhere you've been to:

June/July of 2008 my boyfriend and I went to Cancun, Mexico. It's such a beautiful country! I don't think that I will last long without visiting! I really wanted to go back this year, heck, when I can I will def. get a timeshare down there lol. That's how much I loved it. Here is a picture of me in front of one of the pyramids at Chichen Itza. Have you ever seen the movie Apocalypto? Well the tribe that lived there is what the movie is based on. One of my favorite films. If you haven't, then check it out!

Bad Habit

Day 04. A habit that you wish you didn’t have:

Hmm... I always complain about being a procrastinator. So yep, that's my bad habit. And to help me change it, I have finally bought a planner. Being back in school, with a lot of assignments, I cannot afford to slack off and leave things for the last minute! I did that a lot last semester and am not proud when I say that my gpa went down a bit. My goal? To bring that sucker right back up and kicking that habit will definitely be a great and promising start!

What's In a Name?

DAY 02. The meaning behind your Blog name

It's pretty simple. My name is Cindia. I didn't like my name growing up. I hated being confused with "Cinthya", or how some people would put emphasis on the "dia" *. It's pronounced Sin-Deeah not Sin-Dee-ah, if that makes any sense lol. But I grew to love it, I just love how different it is.

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I don't even know what to say. I mean, you know how it is that I feel about you. I tell you this often. And when I don't show my feelings towards you, is because I am scared. Which honestly is most of the time when I am around you. I can't see myself without you in my life. So I have decided to start the 30 day meme. I was inspired by simplygorjess : ) I wanted to wait until after we got back but, I was eager to start. I apologize in advance for stopping after 5 days, just know that I'll start it back up as soon as I return. Anyway, I believe that the meme is that you write a letter about the topic or to the person that it's about. Either way it's too late now, ha!

Best friend;

We met on the bus stop freshman year. I thought she was in a higher grade than I was, and that she lived across the street from me (she resembled my neighbor that I never spoke to or ever really saw). As time passed I discovered that she had a great sense of humor. That was what drew me to her, that she would be herself and didn't really care. Everyone always seemed so happy to be around her. Soon, I was part of that group. I found out that she lived a few blocks away, and that she and I were in the same grade. Crazy how we never shared one class! Messed up. Our school did their schedules alphabetically, so I'd have some of the same people in my classes every year, unless they changed schedules etc.

My best friend at the time, didn't like her* and didn't want me to talk to her*, but I saw that that was just insane. As she* and I grew closer me and my bestie at the time grew further and further apart. Anyway to cut the story short, she* and I are still best friends to this day, she lives in New York and I in PA. I terribly miss her and being able to just walk to her house. Trust me, she can tell you that I took full advantage of that privilege! I'd be in her house everyday after school. We've shared tears, heart breaks, happiness, parties, drinks, hugs, and i love yous just to name a few. She has a good chunk of my heart and idk what I'd do without her. She gets me. And I get her. I love you my, beautiful flower.


That's my bestie and I hanging out with biggie. She hugged him all politely, I was like come here! With my arm all stretched out lmao, good times.
