A Little DIY

I am all about DIY's lately,  and I just wanted to share this one with you. Maybe you've seem something like this before, and maybe not. But, hopefully you leave my blog, feeling a bit inspired.

One of my favorite bracelets (purchased from F21) was starting to change colors on me, like all costume jewelry does. Well, let's just say that I wasn't ready to let it go. So, this is what I did.

Grab the jewelry in need of a makeover.

Pick a nail polish. I went with black, by Wet & Wild. Don't forget to
have a hard surface that you wouldn't mind getting polish on.

And Voila! You can grab old costume jewelry and maybe paint them a funky neon color,
since those are in style right now. I chose black so that it can be more "timeless".

I also added a coat of clear nail polish to help seal the color. If you try this, let me see what you come up with!

OMG! That is such a cool idea! I think I am going to try it with some of my jewelry form F21 that changed colors and see how it turns out!

That's neat! I don't wear any jewelry except my earrings, but I don't think I'd paint those, LOL.

such a great idea!! I will try this.

You know you can clean your jewelry with a little bit of tooth paste and water and use an old tooth brush and it'll look just like new :)
