OOTD

A girlfriend of mine from my old job set up a movie date. It had been a few weeks since we last saw each other. This was on Tuesday. It was a hot, hot day. I knew that I didnt want to wear jeans, or anything long, so I went with this tribal print dress. It is one f my favorites because I can wear it many, many, ways. I'm sure you'll see it again, since I can dress it up according to the Season.  I've even worn it as a top! The options are endless. Whoops I got sidetracked (common) we were originally set to watch Monsters University 3D. That quickly changed because I was fashionably late to our get together, so instead we ended up watching World War Z, and I loved it. I cannot wait until it is available on RedBox. I know you're thinking "Why were you late Cindia?" See what had happened was... after I grabbed my car keys, I realized that I hadn't put my engagement ring back on after seasoning the meat I was going to cook for dinner... I went to where I usually store it whenever I am cleaning and it wasn't there. I searched everywhere! Even in the places that you would never store a ring. Nope. Nada. Zip.  I cried. I decided to step away and keep the movie date, and come back with a fresh mind, and take my time looking for it. I just hoped that Joe wouldnt find it before me.

When I got back home, I couldn't keep it from him. I told him what happened. He was like "What? You lost a (insert price here) ring?!" He then helped me look for it. He said that he knew something was up because I was too quiet (side eye.) I was in the kitchen doing dishes (I clean when Im angry, or nervous etc) and he comes in and asks "Still haven't found it?" He had his hand near his face, and what do ya know? He has the ring! I was VERY happy. I wouldn't want any other ring. This one is very special, and meaningful. I am sure you will notice the Forever21 ring (So is the bracelet) that I wore instead. This is my very first ootd, so be kind. I will get the hang of it. It was kind of awkward posing for my fiancee. It doesn't help that he does not like the camera.

Cheap Thrills

Here are some things I have purchased from Marshalls, and GoodWill. I also joined Glossy Box, and received my first box. I haven't tried any of the other monthly beauty boxes, because they didn't really capture my attention--until now. 

I can't wait to buy (or snip away some of my mami's flowers) and put them into one of my new vases! 

My week was a good one. I hope yours was too : ) Have a great weekend!

These will be my last 2 weeks off from work, and I will do my best to enjoy them, and just to keep on relaxing. There is a little piece of me that is looking forward to going back, to simply be on the look out for another job, a different position. I don't like the outpatient scenario. And at that department, there is so much negativity, and no proper leadership. It often feels like you receive no support from the head, and when you feel that way, it is easy to just want to give up and feel like you're on your own. So, that's that. When you're at home, for this long, you get to close yourself off from all of the outside noise, and be one with yourself. You get to see and think clearly, and that's what I have been doing. Oh! And letting my eyebrows grow in to then revamp them.

These are a few of my favorite things...

Hello! How has everyone been? I've been alright. To start off I want to say thank you oh so very much for all of the lovely birthday wishes! You are the best of the best! Really, it meant a lot. My birthday was a rather chill one. I blame it all on mother nature. Why? Well, I got my period on the day of! And maybe this is TMI but, I was miserable and uncomfortable. Joe and I still went out for dinner, and enjoyed each other's company. I got to see my family as well. My brother and his wife were visiting, so that was nice. The plan was to go bowling on Saturday, but the first 2 days on my period, are the heaviest, along with other symptoms. I wasn't up for it. Blah. I know, how lame of me? And then on Sunday, the weather was cray cray with Miss Irene spending part of the day here, after having spent the night.

Today Friday, I took the day of from work. And just relaxed, mixed in with cleaning, and cooking. So, I'll be enjoying a four day weekend. Music to my ears. Tomorrow will be a day filled with laundry, and shopping : ) Can't wait! Anyway, enjoy some of my favorite things (in pictures)!

Full Circle

Hey! I am getting better at blogging more frequently right? RIGHT? That's what I thought! Lol, don't mind me, I've been acting all "hard" and "tough" lately, for no reason haha.

Happy Monday! Mine was pretty eventful, slowly catching up on all of my paper work at my job. I have been seeing a lot of clients lately! A lot of my first time clients have been coming in for pregnancy tests and it really feels like we've come full circle.

I got a new job. That's what I was talking about in my last entry. I had the interview when I blogged last. And the day after, I got word that my references were being called. Luckily they all said great things about me. I will be working at the town's hospital. Full time hours, no holidays or weekends, and full benefits. That is what I am the most excited about. BENEFITS BABY! It's all very very bittersweet. I love my job, I love the cause, but some things just weren't the same, and I think God was kind of nudging me to go out and look for something else. I will be there 1 night a week though, because it's not about the money when it comes to that place. It really isn't. But, I have life plans that called for more money and other perks. We'll see how everything goes. But I trust in God (I am a very spiritual person if you haven't guessed). On Saturday I had to go and get my digital finger prints taken, they've upgraded I see lol, no more messy ink. Today, I went and had a drug test, urine test, blood work, and a hep shot, since I only got 2 dozes instead of the 3, whoops! My left arm feels all sorts of jacked-up-ness right now.

This weekend we are off to New York to help celebrate hub's nephew/our god son's 3rd birthday. We got him some kicks and clothes. My parents get back this Saturday, and they'll come back with us on Sunday. Oh! I finally finished reading the book The Glass House, and I cried at the end of it "/ yes people, I Cindia, am a softy lol. Don't take me to see sad movies because you'll be like Really?! haha. Maybe I'll do a quick review of the book? Have a blessed week my loves! And thanks for all of the comments on my previous entry!

My Go-To Sneakers,

During a recent "Blackberry Friday" post, some of you asked about my sneakers. They were all black, and at the moment I wasn't sure what year they were, since a lot of the Nike Air Max sneakers are best identified by one. Here they are, Nike Air Max 90's. I'm sure you can find them online. I think I paid $60-$80 for mine about 3 years ago. They're my only all black sneakers and my go to shoes lol. Very comfortable as well! I am a size 6 in boys (8 in women), and they make my feet look tiny! They also look great with skinny jeans, and shorts. I recommend them :)

Lingo and Boots

When it comes to "fashion trends" I am not so quick to spend a lot of money on something. I tend to take the cheapest route possible! But, when it comes to something that I feel will be around for a long time, I don't mind coughing up a few extra bucks. Tall boots. These have been around for years, and will be around for more to come. Can't wait to buy a pair in a few weeks : ) I have thick thighs and legs (thanks to my mother's side) which means I tend to worry if the boots will even fit lol (I tend to do most of my shopping online) Lucky for us thick legged women, most sites include the circumference (Gasp! I just ordered these bad boys from ideeli.com They're originally $69.99 but I only paid $26.00! I couldn't pass that up! I got them a few inches bigger than usual (their sizes run weird, you can order a size 8.25--see? Weird!) They'll be here in a few weeks, that's the only down side of those kind of sites. Oh well, the price is worth it!

Shoes & Strawberries

My semi new Nine West booties (worn once). They are very comfortable. I wore them this past weekend.

I went to the Park City Center Mall in Lancaster PA on Friday, and I stopped by H&M and Forever21. I got a lot of things but, didn't take any pictures. I got that perfume in it's mini size. Big bottles of perfume last me years! So I will stick to minis lol, plus it's more inexpensive.






The one in the brown shades are for the eyes, and the second one is for the lips. They were $ 1.99 each so why not? I can't wait to buy my vanity table/chair to have all of my makeup together. Right now I have some in the bathroom in a basket, and the others in the hallway closet. My cousin says I have a problem lol *shrugs.



& simply because I love food and such... This is DELISH I bought it at Taco Bell. She gave me the one with the strawberries on top + margarita at the bottom and it was not good. She was a sweetheart and let me change it. It hits the spot in this hot weather.
