NOT ABOUT THAT LIFE

Keeping up with a house is no joke. But, it always brings a great feeling when you see it all coming together. My past few weeks have been filled with googling new recipes to try, food shopping, cleaning here and there, laundry, dishwashing (I am not about that life lol ;) , I want a dishwasher! We joke about our wishlists being filled with household appliances, oh how priorities change.)

I have also been the chaffeur of my parents whenever they need to go to their appointments. The only time that I mind is when its to go see their primary care physician, they take forever to see you there. My father went through another eye surgery, this time for his right eye. His retina detached. The doc says that it can happen if you sneeze, cough, heavy lifting, etc etc. Poor man, he couldnt see at all (He is to have surgery for his left eye as well. Diabetes is no joke.) As for my health, I popped my left arm last night while stretching, and now I have a pinched nerve. It feels like my arm weighs a lot, numbing, and tingly feeling in my hands. I have been taking Naproxen for the inflamation, and putting cold and warm compress. No bueno.

As for the photographs, I love watching Joe taking care of the lawn. Its his weekend hobby. Who would've guessed that a guy from the Bronx would be mowing, weeding, and gutter cleaning. Not long ago when my mother and I were gardening, we noticed that we had roses blooming. They are beautiful, and I love the contrast of the brick wall. I have been trying to go back to eating more furits, instead of junk food. I do not want to gain back all of the weight that I lost. Its tough without working, and not as much physical activity. If you haven't met him yet, that is my heart, Rocky. He's a 6 y.o chihuahua/jack russel mix, and he is spooooiled by me, and especially Joe. You really should see the two of them. It melts my heart. As for the other pictures, they are pretty self explanatory. Cooking, and treats received in the mail.

I hope that you're having a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping by!

Fell in love with a dandelion.

It feels like the people that were once very active on here (the ones that I followed) aren't updating much or at all. Yet, it makes me feel free. I am writing as if noone will be reading my entries but me. But ofcourse, this is the internet, and you are never really alone, and I am okay with that. I mean, you have to be if you're running a blog.

The past few days have been, unproductive to say the least. I don't know if I am getting depressed or if it has anything to do with the fact that I haven't been keeping up with my happy pills as prescribed. Don't worry, I am reminding myself to do so, if not then my body, and emotions are a loud reminder. I am trying to remain positive. I have been walking around a lot lately. I grab the leash and my walking buddy gets excited and comes with me. I just dont want to come down with cabin fever. Plus, sunlight is a natural way to get happy. It helps that our neighborhood is a beautiful and peaceful one. It also helps that every car that passes by, the driver waves, or greets me with a smile. I also get the oppurtunity of meeting and chatting with our neighbors. Rocky attracts a lot of attention. I think he has a crush on a yellow labrador retriever that lives around the corner. I love walking and soaking up the beauty that is nature. The flowers that are blooming on the trees. Soon they will fall, and bright green leaves will take their place. I took my cellphone along for the walk today. I captured some beautiful pictures that you will find at the end of the post.

Joe is turning into such a handy man when it comes to the yard, the gutters, the basement. Its funny to see him wake up early on a Saturday because "the lawn must be mowed." Its sexy.

My parents came over last week. Mami helped me clean and organize. Well, it was mostly her telling me how things should be organized in the kitchen cabinets. I didn't argue. My younger self would have, just to be stubborn. Instead, I agreed, or gave her a reasonable reason as to why I need these cups on the lower level of the top shelf because we use those everyday. We make a good team. Papi, was in the livingroom watching ESPN, and eating fruit that I served him. He wants to come by because he bought me some flowers and he wants us to plant them in the front of the house. I think that is so cute.

I have noticed that my taste in blogs have changed. I used to solemly follow makeup and beauty related blogs. I have unfollowed many, and only kept the ones that offer a variety of material, ie: fashion, lifestyle, home decor. This explains why I have joined the community of Bloglovin. I want to mess with it, and see what blogs I bump into.

Anyway, enjoy your weekend! Maybe I'll update before the end of it...

See what I mean? Breathtakingly beautiful.

I made a wish. Those things flew around me all the way home. Good sign?

Time Stops For Noone

Its already February, and so much has happened. February seems to be a great month when it comes to my fiance and I, and our little family (fur babies included). I will go into more details as things get more concrete. My family is doing well for the most part, except for my mami, she has some type of skin issues going on right now, but is on her way to recovery.

New years eve is a pretty big deal at the Garcia/Guillot household, and we like to bring it in with music, games, talks, laughter, hugs, and food/drinks! Let me share some of the pictures that I managed to capture. FYI: My sister in law took a lot more pictures, which include the family photos of myself and my family. My battery died : (

Mama, our grandma. Tia Nancy, Baby Liam, Genesis, Jose,
Darren and Malvina (couple, and parents to Liam)
Genesis creepin', Joe, and Liam
Liam and his daddy, Darren
Titi, no more pictures! But, can you blame me? Coshita linda, mi pollito.
Joe, and I
Lol, caught off guard

And here are two adorable pictures of Daisy, and Abby.

Daisy: I love my timothy hay!
Abby: Yeah, you eat that hay, and I'll take care of this.

These are a few of my favorite things...

This week was my last week on "orientation", which means that on Monday, I will be on my own. Well, if I ever have questions, I have other unit clerks to ask, but you know what I mean. Right? I have had a lot of practice in the Trauma side of thangs. I have seen three deaths, ages from just being born, three, and seventeen. All very, very sad. May they all rest in peace.

Other than that, things have been good on my side of the world. It's that time again to have little visits with my dentist. Take care of your teeth people! Nasty teeth, and breath is not cute. Another important thing that I did this week, was go to my college, and started my financial aid process. Some things have changed, like, you can no longer use your tax paperwork that the preparer gives you, you need a transcript from the IRS. Que? What? Smh. But, whatever, I requested mine, and it should be here some time next week. I just wanted to get this over with, and register for my classes. I like having first dibs, and having the schedule of my choice. Yep. Cause I'm a princess. Lol I kid, I kid!

I leave you with a few pictures. They are all of some of my favorite things. Enjoy, and have a great week!

This bad boy is so good to me!

Art cures my soul.

Yep. Six months into the year, and I decide to put up my calendar.

This magazine always, always inspires me. I miss the old cover though.

Our new/old place for the mail (and coupons to grab
when we're out the door since I always forget!)

Abby's favorite snack of the moment. Green apples.

Rocky's favorite nap spot.

My favorite cereal (for now)

My all time favorite nude polishes (Essie's Sand Tropez is missing).

I have missed you!

Oh me oh my, I suck. I have abandoned my lovely blog for far too long. But, sometimes things happen life that just gets a hold of you, and you get so caught up in other things. The past few weeks have been something. Highs, to very lows. I don't want to get too into it because, I am still here, and have over came the obstacles, yet again : ) I have a new job guys! I miss my friends at my old job, but I stop by from time to time to say hello. In the beginning, I had to kind of not let myself go upstairs to say hello, because it was so hard. I was having anxiety, and felt lost at my new job. But, I have been picking up the new routine, and I rarely get lost in the department anymore-- I am in the Emergency department. Yeah, busy. We see it all. I also get to do the orders for the Trauma patients/doctors. I will be in the room when they bring the patients, and be in the background as the doctors, and physician assistants do their thing. I have only seen one bloody patient. I am in no hurry. Oh! And I am now working part time hours, and second shift. From 3-1130pm. So, they'll be some days where I wont get to spend any time with my Joe Joe. But, I have to do this (I am going back to school in the Fall).

Joe, Rocky, and Abby say hello!

This weekend was a blast. I got to spend lots-o-time with my family, and had a bbq to celebrate mother's day (Dominican). Today (Happy Memorial Day!!) I spent the first half of it cleaning. I mean, REALLY cleaning. I got into the closets, got rid of a lot of stuff/junk. I enjoy throwing stuff out, or donating what's worthy. It's crazy how much junk you have in closets. I still have other things that need cleaning (a lot of laundry, eeeek!) but, it all can wait. My back is not having it. I will try to keep up with this now that I will have more time on my hands. We'll see. I think I'll have pics for the next post, I didn't plan this one, which is why I don't have any. Enjoy your week!!

Ready?

Here are a few of my favorite things...

--------------------------------

I've been okay. This third shot has been hell. The hot flashes are annoying, and frustrating to say the least. And a little bit of depression has been hitting me. Today I had a little break down at work. Another symptom is insomnia. I have been taking sleeping pills to be able to knock out in time during the week. I am actually looking forward to my surgery. I need the break from everything, and to just take care of me. I don't even mind that it'll be during the Holidays to be honest with you. Anyway, I hope you are all well. I'll leave you with these adorable pictures of my Abby (guinea pig) taken today after we clipped her nails. I've missed you!

My Journey: 02

Hello and thanks to everyone that read, or commented on my last entry. Since I am home today from work, I decided to give you guys a quick update on things.

Well I got the Lupron shot on the 27th. In order to get the shot, I had to be on my period, which came down on 9/25. I have been on my period ever since. It sucks! It would get light, and heavy, and medium, then heavy again. And when I would think it was going away on the extemely light days, it would come back. I went to the ER this past Saturday night, because my heart had been beating pretty fast that day, and I felt shaky, and my nerves felt shot. Not just that but, I was coagulating a lot and it worried me. Come to find out I had high blood pressure. Luckily my blood count was okay, which meant that I wasn't losing too much blood, and my cervix looked fine. I have an appointment with my GYN today, and I don't know what will be discussed, but I guess it's good to keep her updated and stuff. Whether I'll be getting the second shot today, I don't know, but we'll see.

A big side effect to this, are my mood swings, and my hot flashes. Which suck in the middle of the night. Poor Joe and Rocky, I tend to freeze them a little lol. Again, my loved ones are being awesome about everything. Everyone is sort of going through different things (Like my parents having to give up the family dog, Ossy, yesterday : ( ), which means that we are all constantly calling each other to see how the other is doing. My family is like that, one is going through something, we all feel it.

I just wanted to get this update out of the way, in order to post about other more light hearted and superficial things haha. That was me being very sarcastical yet honest?

I hope each and every one of you are doing great, if not... Then remember, it will pass.

Where in the world is... Cindia?

Hello everyone! This is a quick quick post. I have been mia on here. But, a lot has been going on with my life. I am learning to accept the fact that, the plan that I have for myself and my future, may not be the same thing that God has planned for me, or at least not at the pace that I may want it. I really want to be able to focus more on school and get it over with, but things have happened that don't allow that to be. So, I have to wait. And I will. Patiently. But, don't cry for me Argentinaaaaa, lol, I will never EVER lose sight of my goals, hopes nor dreams baby!

Any time that I have to myself. I use it to relax, and just be. I am not the type that needs to be on the go all of the time. I don't mind standing still. I have yet to update about my Memorial day weekend, and this weekend coming up : ) since I spent Mem. Day weekend with my best friends that came to visit me from NY for the first time! And this weekend I will be hanging out with my 2 besties from work.

Anyway, I hope that you are all well, and not upset since I havent been as active or commenting on your posts. It's all love though!

Besos from Pennsylvania!
30 Day Song Challenge/ Day 07: A Song That Reminds You of A Certain Event:

This song reminds me of my 8th grade graduation. I was part of the choir that sang it. Lol, cheesy is not even the word. Sweet memories!

Spring,Scrubs, and Cake

Ah, this month has been a busy one. I have been preparing for my new job, which I actually have orientation for at the hospital tomorrow. It's classroom setting, and they'll provide us with lunch. My first official day will be on Tuesday. New bedtime? 9 pm--Eeek! But, I'm happy for TiVo lol.

I thank God for having blessed me with great bosses and co workers throughout the years. Many of them that have really cared about me, and vice versa. On Thursday they had a lunch for me. Turkey wraps, and other kinds of wraps, pasta salad, fruit salad, juice, and the best of all, my co worker had a red velvet cake made for me. They also signed a card for me, and my boss handed me an envelope which had a $50 Red Lobster gift card inside (they know me too well!) Friday was my last day, and all that I did was clean the office that was mine for the past 3 years 1/2. When I first got to it it was a mess! But, I left it in great condition. When I left I personally said bye to each and every staff member. Shared hugs and memories. My work mom, the one that had the cake made for me even teared up. If I hadn't cried and let it all out a few weeks ago, I would've been a mess! But, it was time. I will still be there on Wednesday evenings, for a short amount of time. In all honesty, I love the co workers, work, the cause, and most of the clients. I won't start back up until May.

I have been shopping for scrubs, and I bought a decent amount. Best believe I will be putting those on my taxes next year lol. I hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying the weather. It's been raining, but what else is expected for the month of April? I don't mind it one bit!

Here are some pictures! Enjoy!

Spring is here!

And look who's diving head first into it--Rocky!

Catching Up With Pictures

I have been a sucky sucky blogger lately. Pero this time I have a better reason than just being lazy. When I am in front of a computer screen for too long of a time, my eyes start to twitch. The twitching lasts a couple of weeks and it is THE most annoying thing in the world. So, when I feel it coming on, I step back and refrain from my iphone and my computers (I use one at work which is why I have to be on one daily). Forgive and forget? Lol. Anyway, I come with pictures from my phone. Like I mentioned, I no longer have a blackberry, so no more bb Fridays :( So here we go with my random cellphone pictures. Enjoy!
---------------------------------------------------

First things first. I got my hair cut twice! I went and got it shoulder length. And went back and got it even shorter. I LOVE it! What do you think?

Meet Rocky's new obsession. Actually, a rekindled love affair lol. When we lived at home with my parents I got him some rubber duckies, and he would play with them. I have a lot of my things stored in their house, and went back and found Rocky's toy/clothes bag and he pulled the ducky out. He's yet to touch his other toys since, smh lol.

My new book. Joe and I went to Borders this weekend. He picked up "I Am Ozzy" and I got this. Buy one get 1/2 off the other :)

Came home on Valentines Day, and found this waiting for me. I was so surprised and happy! : ) We rarely ever celebrate Vals Day since our yearly anniversary is on the 15th. Happy 7th year to us!

Cuddle time lol. I only laid there for the picture. I don't think he would've been wild about me laying on him.

Dinner at Olive Garden last week (Friday). We were supposed to go to New York, but the roads were frozen (Saturday) and we (along with 20+ cars) were stuck on the shoulder of the road for 2.5 hours! It was scary and crazy. We came back home after that.

Enjoy the rest of your week!
